After another afternoon at the track, I must honestly say, Log Road is in great shape and ready for the first Log Road Open Ride of the 2009 season. We will have the water trucks out Friday giving the tracks a light shower for dust free and perfect riding conditions come Saturday morning. The weather man says the sun will be out with temps and the 50’s - Spring is here...finally. Open Riding starts at 11am both Saturday, March 21st and Sunday, March 22nd and will run until 5pm. Overnighters are welcomed both Friday and Saturday.
Log Road MX senior shooter Mat Day from Hotshotz Photography will be out both days to catch you at speed as you kick off the 2009 Log Road season.
There have been some questions directed to us asking if the mini riders will be able to ride and race in 2009 and the answer is YES. While the “Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and their “lead law ban” has prevented dealers for selling the little machines, they are still welcomed at Log Road and all the GLMX tracks. We will again offer riding on the little track for youth riders for only $10 for a full day of riding.
Looking ahead to the next weekend, we will once again be offering Open Riding on Saturday March 28th between 11am-5pm and the Log Road GLMX Prequel will be the first Michigan Motocross race on Sunday March 29th acting as a preview for the GLMX 2009 season opener on April 4th and 5th.
